Outstanding Designs in New Construction and Remodeling Win Top National Awards
WIXOM, Mich., February 22nd, 2022 – KSI Kitchen & Bath designers have won the top kitchen design awards in two design competitions held by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and announced during the 2022 International Builders Show in Orlando, Fla. on February 9th.
At the Best in American Living Awards (BALA), KSI Designer Sandra Daubenmeyer won the Platinum award in the Interior Architecture & Design – Kitchen, Custom category for her work with Moceri Homes. “A past client of mine was now building his dream home with Moceri Homes,” explained Daubenmeyer. “He entrusted me to be creative and set the tone of the home through the design of the kitchen and bathrooms. He wanted a more cozy, masculine feel to the home. We went for a light maple wood tone with dark accent finishes for the island and the ceilings. Throughout the whole house we used texture in paneling, stone and brick details to craft an incredible space. I’m honored to be recognized for this project by NAHB and the Best in American Living Awards.”
During the NAHB Remodelers Awards, KSI Designer Vanessa Crook won the Home Kitchen Remodel award. “When my client contacted me to update her kitchen, I was excited by the opportunity to bring in more natural light and create an inspirational space for meal planning and entertaining with a mix of warm cabinetry, quartz countertops and stone tile with custom brass accents,” said Crook. “It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by my peers and the NAHB for this kitchen remodel.”
