KBIS 2025: The Latest Kitchen & Bath Trends Our Designers Are Excited About

Every year, the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) brings together top brands, designers, and industry professionals to showcase the latest innovations in kitchen and bath design. This year’s show, held in Las Vegas, was the largest in KBIS history, with nearly 700 exhibitors spread across 500,000 square feet!

Our team of designers attended the event to explore emerging trends, discover exciting new products, and connect with leading manufacturers. They returned inspired and eager to share their insights on what’s coming next in the world of kitchen and bath design.

Trending Colors & Finishes: Bold, Warm & Textured

One of the most noticeable shifts at KBIS 2025 was the departure from cool tones in favor of warmer, richer colors and bold textures.

🎨 Jewel tones, earthy neutrals, and soft pinks were everywhere, making a statement in cabinetry, tiles, and even plumbing fixtures. Sarah Wilmore shared, “Everything was pink! Blush, rose gold, brown, and deep reds seemed to be everywhere. In tiled floors, shower walls, painted cabinets, and even plumbing fixtures. We’re way past cool gray and well into the warm tones.”

🌿 Organic textures like fluted wood, reeded glass, and stone finishes also dominated. Jen Rankin noted, “Fluted design was everywhere! From sinks to cabinetry to paneling and tile! Greens, blues and warm earthy tones were definitely taking over for the cooler tones we’re used to.” Mixed materials showed up in exciting ways; "I was especially impressed by how materials were being used in innovative ways," noted Zach Didia. "Marble door handles and leather details on doors really caught my eye. It’s amazing to see how these traditional materials are being reimagined in fresh, modern ways.

Bold, dark, and moody colors paired strongly with natural tones and multiple textures. Katie Bemis said, “I saw tons of burgundies, emerald greens, terracotta's in both cabinet colors and backsplash. I noticed a lot of walnut being used and natural textures. Warm wood neutrals were also very popular. I can't even begin to count the number of times we saw ribbed, fluted, tambour, and scalloped materials.”

Exciting New Products Homeowners Will Love

This year’s KBIS wasn’t just about aesthetics—it also showcased cutting-edge products designed to improve functionality and convenience in the home.

🛁 Wellness-inspired bath products, including cold plunge tubs and hydrotherapy features, were another standout. Mari Freundl observed, “I saw a lot of emphasis on wellness and health. Many of the plumbing manufacturers were pushing cold plunge and hydro-therapy type of fixtures and tubs.”

versacurl

Anneke Huisman was delighted by Delta’s innovative Versacurl shower head: “The struggle is real for those with curly or textured hair.  Hours of detailing and hair routines are needed to achieve the perfect bounce, shine, and wave.  Delta has heard and listened to this important demographic and created the Versacurl shower head.  With interchangeable nubs, brush, and comb inserts, this tool helps massage, detangle, and remove product build-up in hair types ranging from 2A to 4C.  We are told that those with straight hair can also appreciate its soothing head massage.   Sign me up!”

💪 Durable storage solutions also caught our designers' attention. Zach Didia was impressed by NatureKast cabinetry’s unconventional display: “Something that really caught my attention was seeing NatureKast cabinets displayed in a shallow fishtank (with 48 fish swimming around it). It made for a fantastic conversation starter, and I think it offers a great sales pitch for clients who are concerned about flooding in basements. By combining metal studs, waterproof wall coverings, and NatureKast cabinetry, it could be a safer option for finishing basements with water issues.”

rootveggies🍠 Innovative Root Vegetable Storage impressed Anneke Huisman: “While fresh food conversation has been hot among refrigerator brands, root vegetables like onions and potatoes have missed the attention.  Older generations of chefs know that these kitchen staples are best kept in dark but ventilated areas to increase longevity and preserve texture.  With modern kitchens and pantries focusing on form over functionality, finding the perfect storage solutions for these ingredients has been challenging,” she notes. “The new ventilated and curved metal storage bins of Rev-a-shelf’s Craftsman Collection offer the perfect balance of form and function.  They create a visually stunning graphite accent in causal kitchens or tailored pantry spaces and will be available to add to your space later this year.”

📱 Smart home integration was a major focus, with touchless and voice-activated appliances, mood lighting, and eco-friendly materials. Katie Bemis highlighted, “Technology was really making a statement—smart mirrors that change the light temperature depending on what time of day it is, appliances made from recycled materials, and so much more.”

🔋 Wireless charging inside countertops is an innovation that Jen Rankin thinks homeowners will love: “Wireless charging inside of countertops was a great feature! This will be incredibly convenient while making things feel so much less cluttered.”

Designer Favorites: The Most Exciting Innovations at KBIS

Each of our designers had a unique perspective on the most exciting trends they saw at the show:

Sara Vander Molen“It’s exciting to see more color options entering the market and designs that encourage color to be incorporated in different ways. We saw this through new appliance colors like Juniper and Black Ore from Kitchenaid, cabinetry with rich stains and subtle paints, wallpaper, and a broader range of warm metal finishes than past years.”

- Sara Vander Molen, Grand Rapids Design Center

Ambra Colaizzi“I was excited to see a lot of arches and rounded elements that bring us back to mid century modern designs. Dark and moody themes, jewel tones, bold colors, and lighter wood tones all caught my eye.”

- Ambra Colaizzi, Brighton Design Center

Zach Didia“The biggest trend that stood out to me was the shift towards more rounded, organic lines. It seems squared edges have faded away, and the softer, more natural curves are taking over, creating a much warmer and welcoming aesthetic across various designs.

- Zach Didia, Birmingham Design Center

Sarah Wilmore“To me, the most exciting trend is the return to natural stone. Manmade surfaces never quite compare to the depth and dimension of marble, granite, and quartzite. Many of the quartz manufacturers have developed new patterns that better mimic the detail found in natural stone. It’s exciting to see more color and pattern coming around.”

- Sarah Wilmore, Toledo Design Center

Jen Rankin“The biggest trend I saw was organic texture. Fluting, natural stone backsplashes, and slab backsplashes are everywhere! We’ve always loved fluting, but it’s being used in so many creative new ways.”

- Jen Rankin, Builder Sales Team

Anneke Huisman“While the double-door configuration of the GE Café French Door Wall Oven has been available in several European manufacturers and luxury appliance brands for a while, GE Café simplifies the controls and personalizes the styling for everyday cooks.  If you've ever struggled to lift a heavy roasting pan in or out of a top oven, you'll appreciate how easy and approachable the double-door configuration is.  The improved ergonomics of this configuration also benefits chefs of shorter stature, older cooks, or anyone who struggles with reach issues.  Available in matte white, matte black, or traditional stainless, this unit also has easy-to-swap out handles and control knobs in a variety of metal finishes, including gold, graphite, and copper tones.”

- Anneke Huisman, Byron Center Design Center

Mari Freundl“One of my most favorite things I saw were appliance panels being covered in different materials such as matching fabrics and leathers. Ecodomo had beautiful fridge and freezer panels in the Monogram display that were covered in leather with nail heads! And lastly, speaking of appliance panels and Monogram- Monogram had amazing gold/brass appliance panels that made a big statement in their display.”

- Mari Freundl, Birmingham Design Center

Katie Bemis“Rev-a-shelf had a lot of new and exciting inserts, specifically for root produce storage. House of Rohl had amazing faucets and hardware... I didn't want to leave the booth!”

- Katie Bemis, Rochester Hills Design Center
